North side of Fiesta Farms employee parking lot at 2 Garnet Ave. Toronto ON M6G 1V5
Help us grow native flowers and plants on Garnet Avenue! We’ve received permission from the City of Toronto (thanks Mike Layton) to plant a naturalized pollinator garden on a small strip of city property at Christie Street and Garnet Avenue. Join our group and help to establish and care for this beautiful public space.
The site is a mixture of partial shade and full sun. Most of the ground is covered with a mixture of poorly maintained (nonnative) grass, invasive weeds and day lilies. The size of the garden is mostly limited by the amount of native plants available and our ability to properly plant the garden.
